Apple Event Result

As many of you might know apple have just announced some very nice new products at their September 5th event. Before the keynote rumours were coming from every angle and turns out most were right.

The Shuffle

iPod Shuffle

Apple announced new colours and a product red version with the same 1Gb but cheaper

iPod Nano

iPod Nano

Yes they announced the fatty as I wrote in my predictions. With the new Nano they announced games, videos and the new UI. It may be fat but running the new UI it must have a fast processor in it. The poll bellow shows it to be popular even though it is fat.

iPod Sats

iPod Classic

iPod Classic

Instead of replacing the iPod they did a refresh and for the first time in the 6 refreshes they no longer offer a white iPod. it is now thinner and sexier than the pervious models and comes in 80Gb and 160GB! Now no one can say they can’t carry their entire music library in their pocket.

iPod touch

iPod touchFinally apple released a touch screen iPod. Rumours are already flying of putting iPhone apps on to it and filling up that empty screen. This is one slick iPod at 8mm “thin” and 16GB or 8GB. As I predicted it would be able to surf the web through WiFi.

ITunes Store (on the iPod)

It does what it says and better than anyone else that has tried it, SanDisk has tried it but not to any success. You can get this service over any WFI. This feature is soon to be added to the iPhone with a firmware update.

Conclusion

Where in hell is my UK iPhone, but I guess an iPod touch might help. It was one of the bet keynotes I have every watched. The new Nano is actually quite cool and the shuffles colours are quite nice too. I am not sure about the new iPod classic but love the iPod touch I am debating whether to get it for birthday or Christmas. The iTunes store is cool I like that I could sit in a school lesson and buy a song. The new iPod UI is slick and cool, but why Apple did you have to leak every thing that was in this keynote it made guessing easy.
