When you use a mac everything seems to work, So as you can imagine you have a large amount to accessories to choose from. When I say accessories I mean Hardware that plug in vier a USB or Firewire or even nothing. When you use a computer everyone has their way of doing things like using Quicksilver or Spotlight and then you have the Clickers that use the mouse 24/7 so back to the point, we all get into a set way of doing and we have your accessories to help us that is why we all prefer our mac to our friends except when theirs is better. Getting back to the point I am going to talk about some great accessories for the mac.
Griffin PowerMate
In the simplest words it is a shinny silver knob. You are going what the hell do I need this for well have you ever felt you need another button here it is. It has a push down button it can turn right and left it can also be pushed down a rotated you can also set the length of time you hold it down for so you can have different tasks assigned to them. Griffin give you for the mac a piece of software called Proxi it sits up in your menu bar, In Proxi you can set commands for the PowerMate so if I were to press it down it will pause my iTunes song which is really helpful, now we have spaces because I am not always in the same space. You can set different tasks for different triggers. Proxi comes with some cool pre-made ones in the blueprint browser you can make it do anything you like such as flash when you get a new email.
Bluetooth Mouse
Yes just in general a bluetooth mouse because peoples taste in mice are different some like the mighty mouse but others don’t. Now it is hard to find a bluetooth mouse other than the mighty mouse. Two options are the Logitech V270 and V470. Why a bluetooth mouse why not just a wireless one? well because with all the other wireless mice you have to plug in a dongle and on a laptop that gets annoying and hello in most macs bluetooth comes as standard and is already built in. Some people say bluetooth eats battery the answer is no it does not I keep bluetooth on in my MacBook Pro and in my phone and my PDA for example and get a very long life span out of them for example my PDA gives me about a week, yer that long.
Lacie 500GB d2 quadra Drive
There is quite a few reasons to get this and one is TIME MACHINE backup backup backup. You what I have actually used it once When I lost some files and brought them back in second not kidding a second! With an external hard drive you can expand and what is wrong with more space. Now why particularly this drive well because it has 2xF800, F400, USB and a eSATA now how many drives have that array of inputs not many.
DV Camera
Just in general any will do but I do recommend the cannon HV20 well worth the price. On a mac to import video off a DV cam it is just a simple few clicks, while on the PC you have to install IAMNOTSPYWARE video editing software and hope that it is compatible then see how it handles the video then work around the terrible UI, I could go on but what is the point you know what I mean. A DV cam at the moment has better quality for the price over a hard drive camera all you need is a firewire 400 cable to connect the two and iMovie will handle it.

I definitely go with the wireless mouse since I’m often tugging on the cable with mine. Maybe I should increase its sensitivity. I think the Canon HV20 is a great camera but I couuld easily be tempted by the Sony hard drive high def camera – it’s not too expensive and has the ease of use of hdd. There’s always the danger of missing important action while you change the mini dv tape on the canon.
