Tech for 2008

01 Jan, 2008

This year I hope is going to be a very productive year, I have had this blog for about 5 months now and now feel I have got most of the base down and a workflow going, I know everyone says I am going to do better blog posts and more this year as their resolution, well what I am saying is I want to improve them and make them on a more regular basis rather than me missing a week. OK back to the subject of the post, now I have my mac I can really get into the groove of getting stuff to improve my workflow and some fun stuff just of well fun. There is a list of stuff I want to get this year and I hope review most of it for you.

PhotoShop

This is one thing I need to get because I find myself having to go back to my windows PC to do any photo editing with multiple layers involved.

Portable Drive

I plan to get a 80GB portable hard drive form my friend who is buying one for me and I will pay him back.

Monitor

When I am at home I find I need more space 15″ is just to small so I plan to get a 20″ monitor possibly a Dell but if Apple do updates then I will have a look at them.

iPod Speakers

I have a set of iPod speakers now but they are just to quite so I hope to get some big speakers

New Headphones

I just seem to break them all the time and could do with a better quality set than the iPod ones, I may not be a audiophile but I can just hear the difference.

Card Reader

I really need one I always forget my picture bridge cable and would like to able to us the memory card as a way to move media.

Rain Design mStand

This is a great stand for the MacBook Pro it is much like the griffin elevator but I think looks better

Plantronics Headset

I really need to get a good headset for Skype and recoding good audio with my hopeful increase in video production.

Conclusion

There are a few other small things I want but I am not sure I will get them, If you have any suggestion of cool stuff I might what to buy or you really want leave a comment. I hope everyone a good New Year!!

A good list. Yesterday I wrote a list of things that I was looking a t purchasing and I surprisingly made it down to only six items – only two of which were over £100:

Canon HV20 – which I should be able to get within a couple of weeks

    Altec Lansing Speakers

Nikon D60 – when it comes out

    4GB of RAM

    HP Printer

    iHome Speakers

Back to your list – weren’t you going to get Pixelmator instead of Photoshop?
