I have had my MacBook Pro for just over 2 months and have got a feel for it now. I am going to forget about the keyboard problem which were fixed by Apple with an update because a new user won’t have that problem.
Display
I have no regret for getting the glossy it looks better and the colours look great. I still struggle to see the reflection even when it is low brightness. I have to say if you go outside or have a window behind you then turn up to full brightness and you will have no problems.
Keyboard and Mice
The backlight is really useful when it gets dark, but if it is light you have to have light shining on the keyboard so you can see the keys because they are transparent (to let the light through). There also too few keys to set thing such as expose and dashboard. What really bugs me is that F7 has a picture of expose on but you still have to use the fn key on the keyboard to make it work but the for the volume you don’t have to do that. At the moment I am typing on the Apple Wireless keyboard and find it easier than the MacBook Pro’s but that is just me people are different and have different typing styles.

Performance
This is one fast machine Apple sell, I have only got it to slow down when I have 7 apps open which is no surprise with 2GB of RAM I am planning to get a bit more. Unlike windows machines it does not slow down as much compared to when it was new. To get an idea of how fast this laptop goes I booted it up against my Windows Laptop and wow was the windows laptop SLOW!! It take 3 second for iPhoto to load and that is fast!!
Concluding Thoughts
This is the best choice I have made to do with tech in my life no-doubt. I could not have done half the stuff I have done without this machine. I love it, it is easy to use and fast effective and productive. The only thing I miss from my windows PC is Corals Paint Shop Pro X, but for now I have Pixelmator I got it in the MacHeist Bundle which is a really good bundle and alone saves you $10 on Pixelmator and it gives you loads of other great apps. Sorry go to go do more productive stuff with my Mac, Bye!!

Some good final thoughts, but I still don’t understand you complaints about RAM usage. I currently have 9 apps running and still have half a gig free.
What applications are you running?

@Jonathan It is not just that I have Apps open but like in Safari I often have three or more windows open
I don’t care what you say – I want one!
What do you mean F7 has an expose icon on it? That icon is actually to enable an external display, just as Fn-F5 on a PC does the same…
@ Anonymous I am sure that by default that the combo fn and F7 activate expose
