Awaken is basically in the most simple terms an Alarm Clock for your Mac. Awaken is really easy to setup as a alarm because it deals with turning your Mac on in time for the alarm and all that. You can set up a basic alarm on any day of the week and can wake up to any sound that you have e.g. an iTunes playlist. It also has a very nice feature, say you like to listen to podcasts like I do as you go to bed it is uncomfortable to have your headphones in, so you listen on your laptop.

It can easily be placed in the menu bar and worked from there. It also has a sleep feature that will fade out what you are listening to and put your Mac to sleep, which can be very handy if you like me and forget to turn off you computer. Sometime as we all know your alarm will goes terribly wrong, does not go off, well Awaken has a backup alarm if something goes wrong like the tune can’t be found it will use the backup sound.

We all set ourselves tasks and need to do them in a time period, Awaken come with a thing called the egg timer, it allows you to set one time alarms really easily. Now we can wake up to our favorite tunes coving the screen what do we do next? we want to turn it off and go back to bed, but we would have to get out of bed to get there, no longer! we have our clever Apple remote!!! praise god no cold feet when getting out of bed, in the morning just sleeping in.

Awaken is a pretty developed app and has no flaws that are worth a mention and all they need to do at Embraceware is to come up with new idea of what to add.
