A few weeks ago I read a blog post by Ted Winder and he mentioned how much he like mint. After reading this I was keen to learn more so went to mints site, a few days later I made the purchase.
Mint is a stats program that you install on your server. Google Analytics is perhaps the best, and most well know free option. I used Google Analytics for a while, but kept getting odd things happening and I have to say it was not the easiest interface to work with. Mint seems to work well as far as I have seen. Mint comes at a cost of $30 for a site which is really not a lot considering how expandable and easy it is to use.
The interface of Mint is very clean and easy to navigate. The functionality is good to, Peppers are plugins; For example, the Locations pepper will show where your visitors are coming from, which I find extremely interesting. All the peppers can be downloaded from Mint’s Peppermill.
The install is a bit complicated as you need to put in some code, which confused me because I don’t do much code. The bit that got me was when I needed to input my database name which I finally realised was in a bit of php in the wordpress area. After that it went smoothly and has worked fine.
In conclusion if you are prepared to pay the $30, then go for it. you will love it but I do suggest that you watch the help video before installing it and make sure your server is compatible.

Do you think Mint would work on my school photogallery? Or is it only for WordPress?
@Chris Leigh I suspect is would work
@Chris, yes it will.
Mint is so simple to use, I love it!
