After Apple released the iPhone SDK, people have been flowing with Ideas for what apps they would like to see and I have searched high and low to find what I consider to be the best ideas and what I would like to see most.

Games

After seeing the demo of spore I think everyone wants to buy it. This is the sector that is most obvious the potential for games on the iPhone and iPod touch is amazing. I believe the iPhone is a new platform for games ,there have always been games for phones but I have never played on them because they suck and coast to much as are hard to by. I belie that apple have combated these problems and I would be happy to purchase games and play on them. One of the coolest Ideas I have seen would be snake using the Accelerometer.

Physical browsing and Digital shopping

So you walk into the store and you see a really cool CD you have always wanted and it has a barcode on the back and you get out your iPhone and the camera turns on and scans the barcode then suddenly you have it on Amazon and all you have to do is one click and it is bought. That would revolutionize shopping.I think that the iPhone can change the way in which we pay, keep records and actually buy stuff.

Credit Cards

This may not come to mind straight away but how cool would it be to walk into a store and instead of getting your wallet out and picking a card to pay on you just get out you iPhone and choose a card and over WiFi or Bluetooth you pay. This would mean you could pay using Paypal ect..

Paperless recites

Now this sort of links in to the previous one, after you have bought your food you get a recite send straight to your iPhone and when you sync your iPhone it gets copied to a piece of software that stores and organizes your recites into store and date.

VOIP

Yes we could finally use Skype and call anyone for free off our phone, but only when we are on WiFi. For most of us geeks we are around a WiFi hotspot most of the time e.g. Office, Home we usually have a hotspot so instead of paying £50 for a contract we could get the cheaper one and pay a lot less by using Skype.

RSS readers

Now I use Google reader and love it. I am usually a person for a desktop client for everything but the connivence of being-able to read my RSS feed anywhere is really important to me because I usually read them about three times a day so access to them is key otherwise I build up a backlog and I don’t like the Google reader for iPhone that much so some sort of App might be better.
