This has got me all excited and over the past few weeks I have been compiling a list of the most helpful and fun apps that you should get and the ones that are not worth the money.
So the first thing we all did when we got the iPhone 2.0 software was download so many apps we had to re-install. Eventually I started to get annoyed with having so many apps on my iPod Touch so I have carefully weeded out the ones I don’t use of like.
Twitterrific
Twitterrific is one of the first apps that I downloaded and it has defiantly increased the amount I tweet when not at a computer. I would recommend this for anyone who uses twitter, it is so easy to use and really cool looking.
Break
This is one of the more obscure apps in the store and in my opinion one of the best. It is one of those games where you could spend hours trying to get passed one level and get really angry at when you die, so I do suggest getting protection for the iPhone.
Facebook has become the hub of my community, it is the place I connect with all my friends and chat with them and the iPhone version brings this to you anywhere. Imagine you are really bored and sitting at a cafe on your own and you friend is on Facebook in China you can just sit there and talk to him over facebook on your iPhone. The interface is nice and sleek the whole experience is nice but needs some work, such as not being able to view notifications.
Remote
This is a must have app it is so useful and really cool. Over here in the UK we did manage to get a few days of sunshine in which we played some music out into the garden. In these circumstances it came in very handy as I was to lazy to get up change track, I just launched Remote and changed from that awful track that was playing.
myLite
I know people will say what is the point in using you iPhone as a torch? well my answer is that the day you uninstall it you will need it! I have had over 5 occasions when a torch as needed and I had to use my iPod Touch as one and it as work extremely well.
Aurora Feint
This is one fun game that makes use of the touch and accelerometer with in the device. By using both of those you get a very unique game experience that is extremely fun as you progress further and further into the game.
1Password
Originally we had the smart bookmark now we have the really deal and to tell you the truth it has some very cool features such as wireless sync but I have yet to properly use it to get a password as I know all mine quite well.
Touch Pong
A very clever game that is as simple as the original except two of you put your fingers on the screen above your boards and off you go. This is a very simple game but when two of you are waiting for something it will amuse you for ages.
iPint
The drinking game where you complete a corse and get rewarded with a virtual beer. It is not the fastest way to get drunk but it is fun.
Conclusion
These are the apps I have used most or found funniest, if you have any suggestion leave a comment. Two apps I would avoid are Super Monkey Ball as it is really hard and thus sucks another app that in my opinion is over rated is the google app, wow it can do localized search and that is it does, I am not saying localized search is not cool but what about all the other google apps they are just linked to the online version.
